Rodent writes "As some people may know, TGT has suffered some neglect over the past few months. This is mainly down to all the servers being hosted on a dedicated box which only had SSH access, and was rather complicated to configure. Forums were also not working, with new user registrations failing to allow people to confirm their email addresses.

TGT now have 3 NEW servers (|TGT|ETPUB|FUN|XPSAVE|, |TGT|ETPRO|BATTLE|, and |TGT|TEST|). These servers are much easier to configure and will allow our members to participate in the day to day running / configuring of the servers, which means regular new rotations, and updates. The TGT forums are now working, and user registrations seem to be OK.

Our current servers will cease to exist come Jan 08, and we start transfering people over to the new servers as soon as they are up and running. This overlapping period will allow us to have banners running on the current servers letting people know about the new IP addresses they should use to connect.

Our Server Admins are currently working on our test server to get it up to scratch before configuring the new ETPUB FUN server.

As we no longer require the dedicated box, donation targets have been reduced, however we would still like to hit target every month to help pay for the servers / web hosting / prizes for competitions, and perhaps even an ET:QWs ranked server in the very near future.

All in all, we are heading in the right direction and look forward to a brilliant 2008 with regular competitions and constant updates to the TGT servers!

Dedicated TGT server!

TGT have now paid 3 months up front for our new dedicated linux server!

The server is currently being built and should be ready in 3 - 4 weeks. But when it is ready we should be able to run both ETPub and ETPro public FUN servers, as well as a BATTLE server, and possibly a trickjump and headshot server.

You are now able to see who planted mines, their name appears above the mine.

ACTIVE TEAM BALANCE is... active and based on player rating. Meaning, if teams are not balanced (In terms of rating) the higher rated player on the higher rated team is AUTOMATICALLY moved to the other side."
